Standardize the market and make used car transactions more assured

As the scale of automobile transactions in my country continues to expand, used car transactions account for an increasingly high proportion of automobile transactions. However, some problems have also been exposed, such as concealing the condition of the vehicle, exaggerating publicity, arbitrarily quoting, and irregular transactions, which have disrupted the order of the used car transaction market and infringed on the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

1. It is difficult to guarantee the quality of vehicles in used car transactions

In used car transactions, many consumers have encountered similar situations. According to the Consumer Rights Protection Law, used car dealers should conduct a comprehensive inspection and inspection of important information such as whether the source of the car they sell is legal, mileage, maintenance records, transaction records, and vehicle problems before selling, and inform consumers of the test results in writing or other ways that can be confirmed.

It is understood that since the age and mileage of the car directly affect the price of the used car, some merchants adjust the odometer in order to attract customers. In addition, due to the lack of professional identification ability of consumers, some water-soaked cars and faulty cars may also be sold to consumers by car dealers as vehicles in good condition.

2. The used car market transaction system needs to be improved

Some problems reflect that the used car market transaction system in my country is still imperfect. On the one hand, due to information asymmetry, consumers are relatively weak when facing used car dealers. They don't know much about the vehicle's condition and the buying and selling process. Some bad merchants take the opportunity to set up various links to make consumers spend more money.

used car trading network platforms are popular with consumers because of their rich sources of cars, convenience and speed, and no spatial distance restrictions, but problems also come with it. When consumers buy used cars, it is very necessary to inspect the car on the spot. Most online car sales are reliable, but it is not ruled out that some car dealers deliberately conceal the condition of the vehicle or sell false sources.

The used car survey report released by consumer protection organizations in many places shows that the existence of "overbearing clauses" in transaction contracts is also one of the more concentrated problems.

In used car transaction contracts, "mileage non-responsibility clauses" and "quality exemption clauses" are more common. The "used Car Sales Agreement" provided by some merchants stipulates: "On the day of signing, all legal risks related to the vehicle shall be borne by Party B (buyer)." But the actual situation is that the vehicle has not yet been actually delivered and the vehicle is not in the hands of the consumer. If the consumer bears the risk at this time, it is obviously unfair.

3. Joint efforts by multiple parties to create a good market environment

With the change of people's consumption concepts, used cars have become the choice of many people to buy their first car because of their high cost-effectiveness. The used car trading market has broad prospects. To let consumers buy cars with confidence and let used car dealers operate sustainably, it requires joint efforts from multiple parties to create a good market environment.

In recent years, the used car market has been standardized a lot. On the one hand, it is due to the increased awareness of consumer rights protection, and on the other hand, the rise of third-party testing agencies has made used car testing more and more standardized. However, at present, some maintenance records are not fully mastered by insurance companies. Therefore, professional testing and evaluation are very important.

In response to contract disputes, consumer protection organizations in many places remind consumers to be cautious when signing car purchase contracts, be sure to verify the consistency and authenticity of vehicle information, specify the charging items and amounts in the contract, and carefully check the terms involving configuration, deposit, quality assurance, breach of contract liability, after-sales service, etc. At the same time, pay attention to whether the accompanying documents are complete and verify whether the legal certification documents are delivered in full, such as valid motor vehicle safety technical inspection qualification marks, vehicle insurance policies, tax payment certificates, etc.

As the main body of used car operations, merchants must abide by laws and regulations, operate in good faith, and resolutely eliminate consumer fraud. Establish a credit system for used car dealers, expose the illegal and irregular behavior of bad car dealers and record them in credit files, etc.
